General Conference Choir

About 4 months before October 2013 General Conference, the Young Men of our Stake were invited to participate in the choir that would sing for the priesthood session in General Conference.
Both boys accepted the invitation, and the practices began-every Sunday evening, for 3 hours.  The boys were given very specific instructions as to dress standards.  Both got a dark suit.  Practices continued.  The boys were given very specific instructions as to grooming standards.  Both got haircuts.  Practices continued...and continued....and continued.
Dress rehearsal happened in the Conference Center the week before General Conference.  Just go to one of those practices to get an overwhelming feeling of the great testimonies these youth have.  Powerful.
Kind of a historic session, as it was the first priesthood session broadcast over live TV.  We saw good headshots of both boys during the session-I think the boys even felt excited for the experience (more than just the free lunch they got before the session, and hopeful feelings of seeing someone important walk by in the halls that only performers get to walk in).
