Nate decided to swim this fall, in spite of feeling a lack of passion. He thought he could give it one more year. Although he has been able to go to the State Swim Meet each year, he has never medaled (it is almost a comical thing as he places just below the last medal that is given for each race. OK, not comical, just ironic).
Nathan had a successful year. He was able to place first at regionals and get a medal. He qualified for the State Meet in many events and was able to participate the first day of competition. He was shy one place (his team got 4th instead of 3rd) to qualify for a medal in the relay, but he loved the experience nonetheless. We just love watching him swim and staying out of trouble working hard.
