Our kids are growing up fast!!

Personal Progress, earrings, friend birthday, being able to babysit...

It is so different to think that we now only have two kids at home on Activity Nights...What?  Tim and I can't both be out at meetings that night, without addressing the fact that there won't be anyone home to take care of the kittle kids.

And, this was one of the first "kid" birthdays where Sarah wasn't home.  Sad...But, Anna did a good job at pretending!

Turning 12 also means being able to have a friend party.  Her list of "invites" changed daily.  7 lucky girls got to go down with Anna to the ranch.  After a night full of make-your-own pizzas, snacks, movies, and four-wheeling, we finally were able to get the girls to sleep around 1:30am.  The next day we took a few brave souls snowmobiling, and had a hot dog roast.  And that, folks, is why we only have parties every four years...

Anna is our sweet, right-brained girl.  She has let Tim and I know that she is a gymnast, a tumbler, and interested in many right-brained activities.  She doesn't care that gymnastics is not a high school sport.  She still thinks this will always be her favorite activity.

Anna's 7th grade registration was due today, and she was in heaven that she could pick a few classes for school next year.  Top on her list was choir and art.  With her personality comes sensitivity and excitement.  Nathan put it best when sharing what he liked best about Anna at her birthday dinner, "I like Anna because amidst a family of analytical and logical people, she can bring some sensitivity into this family."  We thought Nate hit the nail on the head.

Anna loves her friends, being responsible, babysitting (she is the first to volunteer for nursery babysitting at Relief Society Activities), and being the oldest roommate in her bedroom.  We love our Anna!
