Anna's New Bike

OK, so this bike has a long story behind it. Ben gave Anna his old bike (Nathan's old bike) for her birthday 1 1/2 years ago. Since it was a boys' bike, he promised to fix it up, and that he did. He took all the necessary parts off and painted the frame a dark green. It was better than the silver and flame bike it had been. Anna loved her little bike. It served her well for about a year, and Ben was such a faithful brother in fixing flat tires for her and helping to maintain the bike (he really likes fixing "stuff").

Anna decided about 6 months ago that she needed a bigger bike that was a bit more girlish. So, the hunt began. And, while we hunted, she saved her money. It took about 5 months before finding the perfect bike for her (Deseret Industries), but it was more money than she had. This past month Anna has been diligent in trying to save the last little bit.

She finally paid off her debt yesterday, and Tim spent 2 hours tuning it, adjusting brakes on it, etc. Anna was so excited to have a new bike. And, we can now go on bike rides as a family again, as her old green bike has been past fixing for some time now.
