Flying the coop...chirp chirp

What a bittersweet moment to be taking Sarah down to school...It is such a sweet feeling to know that a bright future is set before your daughter, and yet somewhat bitter to know that with this future will bring more independence.

Trying to fit clothes in a suitcase

This adventure began long before the day that we moved Sarah down to college.  In fact, it may have seemed to Sarah a bit of an ending (to her goal), but we looked at it as the beginning of great things...the beginning of what Tim and I have prepared for as each child was born...a speading of wings.

We took Sarah down Aug 22nd.  After walking her route of classes, getting textbooks, and unpacking, we enjoyed a yummy dinner at Red Robin.  Sarah filled up on bottomless fries, so that she could take her hamburger home for her first dinner.

We dropped Sarah off at her first social while Tim and I did her grocery shopping.  We said our quick goodbyes, and drove home, knowing that life would be different for our family from that point forward.
