Spring Break 2011

We spent the week down at the ranch for spring break, and it was the first time we had been down their for more than a night. There is no TV or cell phone coverage, so it made for a very quiet week (in a very good way). It was fun to do things that were a bit more laid back than our usual, fast-paced life, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Sarah spent her time reading and finishing a season of the X-Files (she did take some rides on the ATV). Nathan rode ATV's, built a platform for the lake with Tim, and showed William how to shoot a BB gun. Ben made a "kiln" in the fire for the kids' mud creations, rode ATV's, fished, and hauled wood away from his tree fort he is building. Anna loved being the big kid of the three youngest, and made "rock powder" by crushing rocks. She learned how to drive an ATV and was proud that she could go 10mph. Will followed Ben around, as well as learned how to aim and shoot a BB gun. Alice just loved having her brothers and sisters home from school for the entire week! She did anything and everything!
