Fall Ball 2010

Girls' Choice Dance, Fall, 2010.

Sarah decided with a bunch of friends to ask some boys to the Fall Ball. This was her official first date, and she had SO much fun!

Sarah asked Ryan by having the high school police officer coming into Ryan's high school class, informing him that he was in serious trouble. The police officer took Ryan out to his car, where Sarah had put Post-It notes all over his car, asking him to the ball. Ryan was quite nervous that he was in trouble, and was relieved to see it was an invitation to the dance.

Ryan returned the favor by doorbell ditching Sarah, leaving a pumpkin (carved with "yes" in the pumpkin, and Hershey Kisses all over the front doorstep and a poem he had made up about answering Sarah.

AFter the invitation was accepted, Sarah had so much fun planning the all-day date. She spent many weeks gathering information and printing maps of all the locations they would be going. The day before she practiced driving her routes-one planned-out girl...

The group spent the day downtown Salt Lake-they tried gluing half-dollars to the sidewalks, picked out outfits for the boys to dress up in at a store, did funny things in the elevator, and ended with yummy hot chocolate. Pictures and dinner followed at Macaroni Grill. They ended with the dance at the high school and a movie at our house. Does that make you tired just reading about it?

Nonetheless, Sarah had a ball with her date, and her friends. This boy was such a gentleman-even standing up for her when she would leave the table at dinner (I'm taking notes for our boys...) Take a look at the pictures below.
