We really thought that once William got his new bike, he would take off riding it on his own. He was a little gun-shy at first, but after a few tries at it, and him realizing that we weren't holding on to the back of the seat as he pedaled, he rode by himself! It is amazing to see the baby steps of progress-learning to start off by yourself, rather than a push from someone else, learning to brake, learning to turn circles, etc. It never gets old to watch a child learn new tricks.
