Skating 101

We have an adult neighbor next door that has a half pipe in his backyard. This is the first year that Nathan has gotten the courage to ask if he could use it. Of course, our neighbor let him and his friends the day they asked. After that day, Nathan's friends would come over quite often to skate the neighbor's ramp.

One night after pack meeting, I came home to find Nathan hauling wood from a neighboring home "add-on" project that he was planning on using for a skate ramp. He was SO excited! The next morning, Nathan employed Ben and together they built this ramp. These are two pretty excited boys! They built this thing all by themselves, and now only need to get the masonite board for the top.

Forget that Tim built two quarter pipes with the boys years ago-there is something magical about building something all on your own. In fact, after Tim built the quarter pipes with the boys, we gave them away because the boys never used them. And, this is so much better than the neighboring half pipe, because it was built with sweat and care...

This is a great looking structure. I am very impressed.
