We like to call Ben our "green thumb". He definitely has a love for planting, gardening, and dirt. Last May, Ben's 1st grade class planted some grass in used milk cartons. Ben brought his home at the end of the school year, and dutifully watered his grass. This continued all through the summer, and even into the winter when the grass became dormant. I looked at the bottom of the carton a few days ago and you could see the root system that had been built up throughout the months. Ben saw it as well and decided it was time to take his grass to the outdoors. He took it out of its' carton, but used the carton as a shield from the outside elements. It is sure fun to see such a love for these things.
