Halloween 2006

We carved 3 pumpkins for Halloween: Nathan, Ben, and Sarah ended up doing the carving. The rest washed seeds, watched. It was amazing how much the pumpkin faces reflected the personalities of each of the kids!!!
William was a die-hard trick-or-treater...his hands were shaking from cold and he still had to go up to every door to get the candy. It was such a novel idea to say a few words and then get candy! He even yelled out a heartily, "happy Halloween!!" after he was given candy at each house.

Nathan won the prize of the biggest piece of loot-one of those giant candy bars that are usually on sale for $1 when they do go on sale.

We have learned a great lesson as parents this year-for every piece of candy wrapper found, we take a piece from each person's stash. It has cut down on the mess. That candy that we "earn" will be used to decorate our gingerbread houses in a month or so.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN...HA HA HA HA.

These are great pictures. I can't believe how the kids have all grown! Cute picture of Alice & William. Who is the "pumpkin head"?
